Bernadette LowereeDirector of Fundraising
I, Bernadette Loweree, am God made, Jesus saved, and Texas raised with a Mexican twist. My education background is in Culinary Arts and Industrial Engineering. I’ve achieved success as a chef, restaurant manager, chef instructor, and grew a franchise center (Mathnasium) into a profitable business where I have sold it to then go back to the kitchen as a chef at a church in Houston. According to the Birkman Method® assessment, I’m energetic, assertive, and sympathetic and love to be in situations where I can motivate and develop a project to success. I love to work in ministry, helping others, mission trips, traveling, and spending time with family/friends. I feel gifted with an empathic spirit that is led by Holy Spirit on a rollercoaster of adventures in the past and am excited for the future. I am currently working on my new venture of being a personal life coach with the focus on business and spiritual growth.

Shalanya JenningsNonprofit Grantsmanship
Originally from the Midwest, Shalanya now calls Houston home. Before her current position, Shalanya was a Program Manager for several nonprofits. Shalanya has also spent some time as a financial coach and community organizer. When she is not at work: church or hanging with the grands, you can find Shalanya traveling with her husband, looking for new houseplants, or exploring her imagination through a good book and eating a great plate of food. Family means the world to her and teaching generational wealth to her three grandchildren is always a part of her life lessons around the dinner table. Shalanya loves doing anything and everything craft related whether it is sewing it, creating it, or supporting others. Mainly just supporting others!
